Ezae provides automatic video encryption and compression features to enhance security and optimize storage. These features are triggered automatically upon video upload, ensuring content is protected and efficiently managed.

Video Encryption

All uploaded videos are automatically encrypted using HLS (HTTP Live Streaming) encryption, which helps prevent unauthorized downloads and access to video content.

Video Compression

Upon upload, videos are also automatically compressed based on the resolution settings defined by the admin. Alternatively, videos can be compressed manually if needed.

How to Enable Encryption and Compression

  1. Go to Company Profile:
Navigate to the Company Profile and locate the Video Settings section.

  2. Enable Auto Encryption:
Check the "Enable Auto Encryption" box to activate automatic HLS encryption for all uploaded videos.

  3. Enable Auto Compression:
Check the "Enable Auto Compression" box. You will be prompted to select a default compression resolution (e.g., 480p, 720p, 1080p).

Uploading a Video

When an admin uploads a video:

  • A "Confirm Uploading Settings" popup will appear.

  • The admin can:

    • Temporarily disable encryption or compression for that upload.

    • Change the default compression resolution for that specific video.

Gallery and Status Indicators

  • Encrypted videos will display a lock icon on their video card in the gallery, along with their resolution.

  • Compression and encryption may take a few minutes.
You can check the status of these processes by clicking the info (i) icon on the video card.
