To create a new leaderboard, you need to fill in the name of the leaderboard, the description is optional and saved for your reference, then select the grouping criteria, by default user is selected which shows the rank comparisons between the users/learners. Then comes the criteria. All the learners that fall in the set criteria for the leaderboard are considered to calculate the ranks for this leaderboard.

Grouping Criteria

  1. User
The leaderboard shows a comparison of the rank of the users/learners. Each individual's score/points is used to rank them in the leaderboard.
  2. Profile
This leaderboard shows a comparison of the ranks of the learner profiles/departments. The profiles are ranked on the leaderboard based on the aggregate of scores/points earned collectively by the profile's learners.

Let's say you want to create a leaderboard for a user-based leaderboard for a particular profile that completed a particular module in a particular learning plan, you will select those particular profile, learning, and module for the leaderboard. Then set the measurement whether you want to give ranks according to the scores the learners earned or the points that the learner earned. Then click on Save.

To view the current positions of the newly created learning plan:

Grid View: Click on the Leaderboard icon in the new leaderboard row.

Card View: Click on the View button present in the newly created Leaderboard card.

This is how you can view the learners with their ranks. You can download the leaderboard data in a pdf. You can click on the Share button to copy a link to a public link for this leaderboard. Anyone with this link can view the participants in the leaderboard.

In the case of a Profile-based Leaderboard, you will see something like this:

Here, the rank holders are the names of the profiles/departments along with the total points used for ranking.
