You can create your questions in Excel upload them directly into the system and group them as a Question bank.
You can create questions without the need to manually enter all questions one by one.
Works great when you have a list of questions already prepared in Excel.

Importing questions only works for Single Selection & Multi Selection Quiz Questions.
You can also group existing questions in a Question bank.

Steps to Create a New Question Bank

  1. Go to Manage Question Banks by
    Content -> Question Bank.

    This will show a list of existing Question Banks, if there are none, let's start by creating one.

    
  2. Click on the "Add New" button. This will open the Create Question Bank page.

  3. Fill in the bank name it can be like Analytical Skills, Logic building, Data Collection, etc. The bank name describes what type of questions exist in a bank. Then fill in a short description for your purpose. The bank name needs to be unique in your company.

  4. Import Questions
    You can download a template from the link. Open the file, if it is in protected view, click on Enable Editing.
    Question Type shows a dropdown of Single Selection and Multi Selection, select the one that you want.

    Next, you can add the title of the questions, the tags separated by commas, or leave it empty then the total options it is going to have.
    Then you can start adding options one by one add the First option, marks, and feedback. Feedback can be empty as well. Continue adding options, options need to be as many as you have filled in the total options column. Then save the Excel file.

    Upload the Excel file in the choose file input. Click on Preview to see the list of questions that are going to be imported.
    Then click on Import and Save.
    If there are any errors in the importing file, it will be shown to you with the row numbers. Then you can reupload again.
    When it gets saved successfully, you can see your questions that got imported in the "Manage Questions" page by going to the Content -> Questions link from the left menu.


  5. Add existing Questions in Question Bank
    Click on the Existing Tab.
    It will open a popup with all the existing questions in the system.

    Here you can search questions by Title, Type, Module type, Marks, Created on, and Tags.
    Select the questions you want in the Question bank. Click Confirm.

    Selected question details will be loaded up below.
    You can add more questions from the "Add more question" button it will open the same questions popup or you can remove any of the selected questions from the cross (x) icon on the right of the question.
    Click on Save.


  6. After importing or adding existing questions to the question bank, you will be redirected to the Manage Question Banks page again.
    Here you can see your newly created question bank on the top of the list.


Edit Question Bank

You can also edit the question bank to add new questions to the bank by either importing or adding existing questions.

Delete Question Bank

You can delete the question bank, it will not have any effect on the questions, only the grouping by creating a question bank gets deleted.
