Events are Synchronous learning events in which the Learner has to be present on a specific date and time for any purpose.
You can create typical types of events that you use like
Classroom training
Webinars
Market Visits
Networking dinner
Coaching sessions
Scheduling - You can schedule by the way of start time and end time, assign a facilitator to it
Mandatory Set up the event as mandatory or optional to attend
Nominate -Offer events to Learners to nominate themselves OR have manager nominate their team members to events
Manager-nominated and self-nominated options to get registrations
Feedback Set up an event to mark attendance and feedback by the facilitator.
Automatic event capacity management - set up the cap on events, after requisite nominations to an event, the nomination is then applied to the next event scheduled.
Create an Event
- Go to the Events submenu present inside the Content menu. Click on the Add new button. This will open a form with a "Create Module" heading, with Event as already selected.
- Fill Event's name, Event duration, and the start and end of the event.
- Select event type - Classroom or Chatroom.
Event Nomination Types:
Self Nomination -
The learners will need to Nominate for this event themselves. They will be shown a button to Nominate on their dashboard. When they nominate, then the admin can either approve or reject their nomination.
Approving Self Nominated Learners:
To approve or reject their nomination, go Events submenu present under the Content menu. Find your self-nomination event, then click on the plus icon from the Actions column.This will open a popup with a list of learners who have applied for the Event.
Click on the Hamburger icon present in the row of the learner you want to approve.
Then mark the Learner as approved in the popup that appeared. Then Save or Save & New to update the next learner.After the learner's nomination has been approved. The Event will be visible in his timeline.
Mandatory -
The learner will automatically get nominated for the event. He will be eligible to attend the event on the point he is assigned an event.
